Remote Business Support – What is a Virtual Assistant (VA)?
A virtual assistant is a professional who provides remote administrative and business support.
Working with a VA is a bit different from hiring a traditional employee, because…
No physical
presence required
The work is conducted entirely online, meaning we can seamlessly collaborate even if we are based in different countries.
Cost-effective
(No hidden employment costs)
As an independent contractor, I work with my clients on a business-to-business basis. This means you don’t have to worry about payroll taxes, benefits, or overhead costs.
Flexible
scheduling
There are no rigid working hours. If your schedule only allows for a meeting at 10 PM, we can easily adapt and connect at that time.
Frees up your time
for growth
You don’t need to micromanage the work. After an initial onboarding meeting where we align on expectations, we will only need brief, occasional check-ins.
Risk-free
collaboration
You choose how long you want to work with me. This is clearly defined in our contract, ensuring there are no long-term commitments—giving you total flexibility to scale the support as your business requires.
“If we work so independently from each other, how do I know what exactly I am paying for?!?!”
– you might ask. Don’t worry, there’s no need to panic! Here is the answer:
Time-Tracking Application
I use Toggl Track. It allows me to track my time down to the exact minute, ensuring that you are billed exclusively for the actual work done. In other words: you don’t have to pay for my lunch breaks. : )
Invoicing takes place at the end of the month or the beginning of the next, once I can present the logged hours—and I will also provide frequent (even video, if need be) check-ins along the way.
It is incredibly important to me that my clients are satisfied with my work, so we can always discuss any feedback, concerns, or simply the progress we’ve made. : )
